Early Detection of Cervical Cancer
Menstrual health and regular gynecological checkups play an important role in a woman’s overall well-being. One of the most important aspects of women’s healthcare is the early detection of cervical cancer. When identified at an early stage, cervical cancer can often be treated successfully, significantly improving health outcomes and quality of life.
Regular screening tests such as Pap smears and HPV testing help detect abnormal changes in cervical cells before they become cancerous. Women should consult their gynecologist regularly, especially if they experience symptoms such as irregular bleeding, pelvic pain, unusual discharge, or discomfort during menstruation.
Maintaining good menstrual hygiene, following a healthy lifestyle, and staying informed about reproductive health are essential steps toward prevention and awareness. Vaccination against Human Papillomavirus (HPV) also helps reduce the risk of cervical cancer and is recommended for young women and adolescents.
At Aligarh Obs and Gynae Society, we encourage women to prioritize their health through awareness, routine screenings, and timely medical consultation. Early detection saves lives, and awareness is the first step toward prevention.
